Only Visiting Family

Suppose the purpose of the trip is confined to purely personal, such as visiting family. In that case, it is unlikely to be considered a business expense because it isn’t related to the business.

In Cases of Business Meetings During the Visit

If you have business meetings with related parties while visiting your home country, the travel costs might be considered expenses. It’s advisable to divide the expenses based on the number of days. For example, if you work for one day out of a five-day visit, you could consider one-fifth of the flight cost as an expense.
