1. Who Is Subject To

A person with a domicile or a residence in Japan for more than five years within ten years before leaving Japan, including foreign people staying with a spouse visa and the right of permanent residence. However, people with particular visa statuses, such as diplomacy, professors, management, etc.

2. What Is Subject To

Financial products include securities, investment trusts, holdings for unanimous union, unsettled derivative transactions, and credit transactions. Securities means including non-listed ones, and regarding all includes foreign ones. If its total current value is over 100 million yen, you must pay tax on valuation profit.

3. When Is Evaluation Day

If you nominate and submit a tax agent before the due date of tax returns for the year of leaving, it is evaluated based on the departure day. If you do not do the above, based on the departure day.

4. Tax Deferment

You can get tax deferment if you submit a tax agent and give security. However, you must submit documents initially and every year.
